Terms of Service
Last updated: 7 July 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Tafany application and related services (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.
2. The Service
Tafany is a browser-based, local-first tool for organization design, workforce planning and compensation modeling. Your organization data is processed in your browser and stored locally; see our Privacy Policy for details.
3. Accounts & licensing
Certain features require an account and a valid licence issued to your company. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Licences are granted per company and may not be shared beyond the licensed organization.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, modify, distribute, resell, sublicense or create derivative works of the Service;
- reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code, algorithms or trade secrets of the Service, except to the limited extent permitted by law;
- use the Service to build or train a competing product;
- use the Service unlawfully, or upload content you do not have the right to process;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems, or circumvent usage or licensing limits.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, user interface and content, is owned by Tafany and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service in accordance with your licence — no ownership is transferred. You retain all rights to your own organization data, which remains under your control on your device.
6. Your data & responsibilities
You are solely responsible for your organization data, for the lawful basis of processing it (including employee personal and pay data), and for maintaining your own backups of your local project files. You are responsible for any share links you create and whom you distribute them to.
7. No professional advice — figures are estimates
Outputs produced by the Service — including compensation, merit, bonus, end-of-service / gratuity (EOSB), headcount, budget and cost figures — are planning estimates only and do not constitute legal, financial, tax, accounting or human-resources advice. You should verify any figure with qualified professionals before relying on it or acting on it.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TAFANY AND ITS SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE OR DATA, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the fees you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or your licence. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will survive.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the competent courts of the Kingdom shall have jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
